Liberal Arts

“Employers want their employees to use a broader set of skills and have higher levels of learning and knowledge than in the past to meet the increasingly complex demands they will face in the workplace.”

‘Raising the Bar’ Hart Research Associates 2009 Report

The Liberal Arts core philosophy is a ‘well rounded’ education. Though there are no major differences in the quality of education between Universities and Colleges, the learning experience can be vastly different. From class size to core requirements Liberal Arts programs emphasize low student-to-teacher ratios and often require students to take classes in a variety of subjects often well outside the students declared major. These factors make Liberal Arts programs highly desirable and very competitive with acceptance rates often between sixteen and thirty percent!

There are myriad Liberal Arts programs and though they share a common philosophy the application process can vary greatly from one program to the other. The important factor when considering your admissions essay is how to communicate your unique voice to admissions readers. If you believe you’re perfect for this program then it’s up to you to let them know why.

Ivy Eyes writing coaches work with you to determine how best to communicate what makes you right for each Liberal Arts program. Whether you need a thought partner or just a last edit before you send it off we can help, with affordable options and the highest quality of service available.
